The purpose of this fraternity is to promote, encourage, and sustain student interest in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science as professions; to encourage the high moral and scholastic attainments of its members; and to facilitate interaction of educational institutions and industry through networking and by fostering research activities, scholarship, and improved public relations.

42nd Annual International Conference - October 3-5, 2013

On your marks!  Get set!  Go...to the 42nd Annual International Conference, co-hosted by the Rho Chapter from Appalachian State University in Charlotte, North Carolina from October 3-5, 2013.  The conference is the premier event for the industry to connect with the Next Generation of Industry Professional.  This is accomplished through a two-day career fair, first round interviews, educational sessions and numerous networking opportunities.  Students also have the opportunity to network with their peers from other colleges sharing best practices for chapter management while making lifelong friends.

The Beta Zeta Chapter Becomes a Reality at the University of North Texas!

Gamma Iota Sigma is pleased to announce the chartering of the 54th Chapter of GIS at the University of North Texas on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Beta Zeta inducted 67 new members under the leadership of Chapter Advisor Debra Richardson and Chapter President Jin Na.
