What do they do?
An IT Manager works with a company’s technological framework and may support existing computer operations and programming, networks, databases, and backup systems, or help to develop and implement new technologies. They may also be involved in analysis and troubleshooting projects and user support.
Why is it important?
Computers and technology are at the very heart of the insurance industry’s daily operations, including communications, the transmittal and storage of important company and account information, actuarial modeling, industry standards, and data exchange. IT capabilities, when properly honed and developed, can result in remarkable technological advancements that meaningfully and innovatively impact a company’s operations.
